Now’s the Time
My challenge started 4 years ago when I separated from my ex husband. I left my marital home with my children, and not a lot else, into a rented house. The reason I’m telling you this is not for a sympathy vote. It’s because, even now, there is a physical unravelling still taking place, its much further down the line, but it’s still there. I’ve moved on massively in my life and, I can honestly say now, that had I not have been through and experienced what I did, I would not have what I have.
Sometimes, when you have had a difficult time, its really hard to see a positive. If you’re not careful, it can start to shape who you are and how you behave, it can take on it’s own identity. You can still be physically storing the stress and anxiety many years after the trauma or stress takes place, you’re waiting for the next knock and it can stop you from moving forwards with your life with self belief and confidence.
I would never want to go back to that time, but I recognise that, actually, he gave me some tremendous gifts: two brilliant children, an amazing new partner, and a very supportive group of friends. I would never have appreciated these things had I not experienced my journey with him.
The one thing that I think was missing, for me, was having a focus once I left. Dealing with the benefits system, the practicalities of being a single parent, the emotions of being a single parent and the children’s emotions were very challenging and, at times, seemed very dark and never ending.
Now, the story need not be the same for everyone,. There doesn’t have to have been a life defining moment, just that a realisation that you’re not where you would like to be and the desire to do something about it!
Which is why I am setting up a ‘Now Is The Time Bootcamp‘, to create change over the course of a year, and give you the time and belief that you can move on from whatever you have experienced, in a happy and positive way.
This isn’t going to be a baring your soul group, just a focused and energetic group of people working towards achieving some dreams and goals.
Meetings will be held every 6 weeks and will cover goal setting, money, relationships, health, relationship with time, careers and decluttering, and anything else which is going to help you move forward with more clarity.
There are limited places available and the cost will be £30 per session. It will start on Wednesday 6th May at 7pm-9pm.
